Soddy-Daisy students bring dead dog to school

Three Soddy-Daisy High School students could face animal cruelty charges after a prank Tuesday that involved dropping a dead dog on the roof of a classmate’s car.
The male students then stuffed two fish in the dog’s mouth and left campus, according to a news release from Hamilton County Schools.
Officials with the Chattanooga Humane Society said they are investigating whether the dog was dead when the students took it from the side of the road or whether they contributed to its death.
“You have police that take care of humans, and it’s our job to find out what happened to an animal,” said Guy Bilyeu, the society’s director. “I guarantee that if there’s anything anyone did to harm an animal, we will prosecute.”

County School officials said Wednesday that an investigation shows a dog found at Soddy-Daisy High School was dead before it was brought to school.
The school is taking disciplinary action against all students involved in the situation, officials said.
School officials said on Tuesday at approximately 11:15 a.m., three Soddy-Daisy High School students brought a deceased dog to the school. The students said the dog was already dead when they picked it up off the side of the road.
Once at the school, the students - who are all male minors - then unloaded the deceased dog and put it on the hood of another student’s car. These students then stuffed two fish in the dead dog’s mouth and left campus.
I just noted that this topic was already posted in General Discussion, but I'll leave it up here also.
