Friends of the Festival is excited to announce that the Grammy award winning rock band Train will headline The Coca-Cola Stage at the 2009 Riverbend Festival on Saturday, June 6th at 9:30PM. To date, three of Train’s albums have peaked in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and they have sold a total of over 4 million albums in the US. Three of their songs have been top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)", “Meet Virginia” and “Calling All Angels”. Train has also found success on modern adult contemporary radio stations, where they have had eight songs in the top 20 of the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks chart. Also scheduled to perform are Southern rock legends, The Outlaws, and boundary-defying musician Alejandro Escovedo. The Outlaws will be performing on Saturday, June 13th at 7:45pm on the Bud Light Stage, and Alejandro Escovedo will be performing on Friday, June 12th at 6:15pm on the Bud Light Stage. maybe they can get Sugar Ray, Tonic, that band that sang "Allstar", Gin Blossoms, Spin Doctors & Candlebox to open the show

OK...with the announcement of Little Richard for the Coke stage on the closing night it's time to call this "Worst Riverbend Coke Stage Lineup Ever",,,I'm looking forward to the side stages

the side stages have been very solid for the last several years,... I think this years side stages are weaker than they've been in a while as well

riverbend sucks. too many illegals, thugs and punks for me to tolerate. since they have a no alcohol family night, there should be a no punk/thug night as well.
