re feeding birds -
Spouse and I headed out yesterday evening to an event. On the way, a 'thing' scurried across the street. Spouse asked, "What was that?!?"
I said, "It was a squirrel, but now it's crow food."
I don't swerve or brake for squirrels. My car is worth a little more than a prolific rodent.

Heck yeah! Not only the car, but if you get into an accident, you can be hurt. And humans are higher on the totem pole than squirrels.

Yoda, as long as you don't get out and scrape it up to take home to YOUR crows.

They'll bring it by. I keep the bird bath filled and clean, and it seems like I may be about the only water supply around for the critters - all the critters. Crows, like raccoons, like to wash their food. It's a jungle out there.

I need to get a new 'bowl' for my birdbath. I left mine upright through a couple of winters and it's all broken. I actually TRIED to patch it a few times... but it's a hopeless case. It won't hold water anymore, so it's pretty pointless now. Aside from the fact that it's got a gargoyle in it to annoy the neighbors.

When we first moved into this neighborhood, we chopped down a mountian of private hedge and started working on getting grass to grow. No comments from the neighbors on any of that. But when I was out working in the yard, a neighbor stopped their car and said "Cool Bird Bath!" Go figure.

Jay, only for you, would I go out in my ugly house dress and bare feet to take a photo of my birdbath. Then come in, Photoshop it down to a reasonable size and post it to the web.... (Feeling guilty yet?) oh, and FYI - this IS the same birdbath that got vandalized when we lived on Culver Street. Someone turned it over and broke one of the wings off the gargoyle. Hubby glued it back on with E-6000 and quite surprisingly, it has stayed in place for almost 10 years. I swear by E-6000!

I like the gargoyle.
Instead of fixing it to hold water, you could put a little seed in it and let the birds (and squirrels) come eat.

Aside from the fact that it's got a gargoyle in it to annoy the neighbors. Thats always a fun thing to do.
