A cousin sent me this. It's in the Library of Congress, and the smiling guy in the front is my uncle Snuffy, who passed away about 22 years ago. He was a professional musician nearly all of his life (woodwinds); during WW2 he played in the troupe of This is the Army throughout Europe and the Pacific. What was "Snuffy"'s real name?
And did he live in Chattanooga?

His real name was Lawrence, and while he undoubtedly did at least one gig here (he went all over), he was a born & bred New Yawker. He and his wife had an art gallery on the upper west side of Manhattan for many years.

At least he had a saxophone with him. Good man.
What was Jesse Jackson doing there?

Jesse Jackson may have rhythm, but he does NOT have music.
