I have this all over two trees in my back yard. Does anyone know what poison ivy or poison oak looks like? I know one of them has three leaves, but I'm not certain. Does this look like either of those?

I was afraid of that. Now I have to figure out a way to get rid of it without catching it.

Wasn't as bad as that for me, but mom did douse me in that PINK calamine lotion.
If you figure out how to get rid of it, Janet, let me know. It's in my backyard too.

We'd like to have both the trees taken down and plant some nice shade trees. These things are ugly - just go straight up. Anyone know a VERY reasonably priced tree remover?

Round Up for vines and woody shrubs. It's stronger than the other kind. Whatever you do - DO NOT BURN IT!!! The smoke will get in your lungs and that's just nasty!

Roundup will not get rid of the poison - after it is dead it can still get you.

"DO NOT BURN IT!!!"
When I was a small child, some lake front-woodsy property owned by a friend of my parents caught fire once when we were camping there. We were able to put out the blaze, but much poison ivy was burnt. If memory serves, I was hospitalized for severe exposure, and was a seeping sot for weeks.

Steep it for 30 minutes in water that's just under boiling. It makes an excellent tea.

If it's in climbing vine form, use a long machete or brush hook to cut it at its base. It'll dry up and die on its own. Spray some round up or that ivy killer solution on the root(s) that you cut and you should be good to go for this season.
If it's on the ground, use the spray solution. Same result for this season.

Very much climbing. I cut as much at the base as I could - it's very thick. I then sprayed it with the above Ortho. We'll see what happens.
I'll send some over to Stray so he can make his tea.
