By William La Jeunesse & Laura Prabucki Published July 25, 2011 EXCLUSIVE: In the latest chapter of the gunrunning scandal known as Operation Fast and Furious, federal officials won't say how two suspects obtained more than 360 weapons despite criminal records that should have prevented them from buying even one gun. Under current federal law, people with felony convictions are not permitted to buy weapons, and those with felony arrests are typically flagged while the FBI conducts a thorough background check. Operation Fast and Furious********************************************************* No when will the incitements start coming down for those that ordered them to sell to felons? The more I read about this to more f*#ked up it looks. I am looking forward to seeing the heads of the ATF, and Justice put in shackles and frog marched to court.

This story has been circulating for some time and will only get worse. This is what happens when a government claims that the ends justify the means.
This story sickens me and most of LE across the U.S. of A.

This is what happens when all the experience gets run out of an agency in the name of "change".

Issa: Obama admin intimidating witnesses in ATF gun probe******************************************************* The more I read the more I think some people at the ATF and DOJ need to go to jail. It seems that they were trying to "prove" that "lax" gun laws were the problem. They have been pushing this agenda for a while. They wanted to say "See I told you our lax gun laws allows Mexican drug cartels to purchase weapons here and ship them back to Mexico".

Yep. This is what happens when the government gets into the business of choosing what laws (That they passed) need enforcing.

ATF agents denounce rogue guns transfers Not told of ‘insane’ operation of arms allowed to go south to Mexico cartels ATF field agents working in Mexico broke ranks with their supervisors Tuesday during a rancorous five-hour House committee hearing, saying they were kept in the dark about a controversial undercover operation in which hundreds of guns ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent Carlos Canino, the ATF acting attache to Mexico; Darren Gil, former attache; and Jose Wall, senior agent in Tijuana, told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee they had serious concerns about the alarming rate of guns found in violent crimes in Mexico whose source was “Operation Fast and Furious” in Arizona. “I would like to apologize to my former Mexican law enforcement counterparts and to the Mexican people for Operation Fast and Furious,” said Mr. Gil. “I hope they understand that this was kept secret from most of ATF, including me and my colleagues in Mexico.” Mr. Gil said he found it “inconceivable” that any competent ATF agent would allow “firearms to disappear at all,” especially on an international border. As a result, he said, the Mexican people will continue to suffer the consequences of narcotics-related firearms violence. Read more: washington times

“Fast & Furious” Hearings Raise More Questions Than Answers Friday, July 29, 2011 The more information that comes out about the reckless “Fast and Furious” gun running operation conducted by the Phoenix BATFE office, the more clear it seems that knowledge of the operation, and approval for it, went a lot higher than the Phoenix field office, or even the BATFE. There is now clear evidence, uncovered by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee headed by Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) that senior Obama Administration officials were aware of this disastrous operation. Last Tuesday, Rep. Issa conducted another round of hearings. Among those who testified were William Newell and William McMahon, BATFE Special Agents who oversaw the program in Phoenix. Those hearings revealed that senior Dept. of Justice officials, including former Deputy Attorney General David Ogden and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, knew about the program. Additionally, other federal agencies were identified as having been made aware of the operation, including the IRS, DEA and ICE.
