so what you are saying is that in these negotiations the Finley brass should just give the CFC anything and everything they want?
what has the CFC done to deserve such treatment?
the CFC needs Finley more than Finley needs the CFC. I will entertain the argument that the two need each other equally but either way both sides need to work together on an agreement,.... not just Finley giving them whatever CFC wants.

I think finley needs CFC more than CFC needs finley. Not that they should just give them anything they want but I'm sure one of the high schools or chatt state would love that extra income.

it's a valid argument but CFC is not very relevant in the greater Chattanooga sports scene. moving their games from a top notch "professional" style venue to a high school field would be HUGE steps back in their evolution.
sound to me like the CFC younger more hip brass are trying to play poker face w/ the the old crony Finley brass but the old money guys might be shrewd enough to win that hand.
regardless of the quoted from the story says. They don't want to play their games anywhere but Finley. Try convincing New England & Columbus MLS teams to play at some rural high school's football field. It's not going to happen. Also you can forget any other scrimmage games from national & international teams.
anything other than Finley makes zero sense for the CFC if they hope to not just thrive, but survive. And Finley needs as much revenue as possible considering the city just cut a large amount of funding. So they both need each other. My guess is they will work something out. But CFC isn't fooling me w/ this "we might go somewhere else" game.
sure you will

Now I want to ask these questions: Remember when Chattanooga put in a bid for the soccer games for ATL Olympics in 96? Was it not in same location? What did they change when it became "UTC's Field"?
Finley was designed from day one for soccer, international soccer. It has come full circle.
