Here's the latest "word":
Internationally acclaimed astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson will visit Chattanooga State Community College on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. There will be a Q&A session for students with Dr. Tyson on Tuesday from 1:30p.m. – 2:15 p.m. in the Humanities Auditorium. The evening presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Health and Fitness Center and is open to the public.
Mikey, "Health and Fitness Center" means "gym".

Where does one park. I mistakenly thought this was last night, and there were only something like 5 visitor spaces near the Health and Fitness center, everything else was student and staff.

It was a great time. Standing room only though. I did not thing Chattanooga had that many science geeks. Maybe there is hope after all.

Dammitall! Planned for days to attend, then couldn't make it.
Kudos to CSTCC for presenting such a great program!
Yoda: couldn't you set us buddies up with a special parking and seating section next time?

CSTCC is gone. Now, we're ChSCC - Chattanooga State Community College (and not CSCC because that's Cleveland State Community College).
There was a big push by the prez to drop the word "Technology" from the school's name.
The irony is that the same prez wants us to say, "The WAWL at Chattanooga State, a national leader in technology" - the same prez that sold our FM license.

Sure, if you're willing to show up three or four hours before the event; otherwise, not likely.

I am a graduate of CSTCC. My diploma says I graduated from CSTCC. Nobody, including the president of the college, is going to change the name of that school in my mind. They aren't touching my diploma to edit it either.
