Chief Dodd was there and on it. I know of a bunch of people missed Christmas working it.
They'll solve it, book the thugs, the courts will slap the wrists of those responsible and they'll be in the news (for doing the same thing, or worse) again by Easter Valentine's Day.
How long until the CPD is blamed for the whole thing? Brenda?

Law enforcement. Look it up.
The prevention of crime is on you, aceman.
The 'excessive' (Lowest it's been in years, unless you are a victim) crime rate is due to the 'no balls' judges, legislators and juries which you, aceman hold sole responsibility. You elected them. Deal with it.

This guy's had more screen names than Zsa Zsa has had husbands.
But, with less effectiveness than Zsa Zsa, in the great scheme of things, ever had.

The incident happened following a teen party at the club at 400 Cherry St. Of the nine shot, five were juveniles and 4 were adults. Three of the victims were admitted to a local hospital - one adult and two juveniles. Their specific injuries are unknown, but are not believed to be life threatening. According to officers on the scene at the time of the shootings, a group of about 400 teenagers were leaving a party at Fathom when the two rival gangs met up and began to fight. Where gun control is hitting the target, there was none on the part of any of the three gangs involved. LOL
Charging persons may or may not be accurate. Often the prime basis for dismissal. If the cops truly had air tight cases, they could win more often where the case really mattered.

How long until the CPD is blamed for the whole thing? Brenda? Perfect summation. Whether crime is excessively high or not, I think the last to blame would be the police. For Duke, lack of airtight cases might get cases dropped, but what about when the bad-guys are convicted? They'll still be out by Valentines. Its not the lack of convictions, its the revolving door? How hard is it to get a conviction, when everyone in court knows the bad guys as repeat customers? Anyway, Merry Christmas Aceman, Duke and PM.

As sad as the crime situation is there is a small consulation that these idiots are really bad shots, either by design or lack of skills.

That is true, windgefluester. But, they still have senseless assaults/murders in Germany, I would wager.
Please don't let this tragic event on Christmas, in Chattanooga, over-shadow all the good things that happened that didn't make the news that day!
I hope you, and yours, have a Happy Holiday Season, windgefluester!

yes for sure, but its strange for me to see all the shots people in the TV here. we don't have this in Germany so much, and we don't have so many "gangs" (we have the hell's angels in Germany, in my city also. Daniel said they are not a "gang" but they shoot people also... ). don't understand me wrong, I'm not against guns, i want to buy me a gun also here and want to go shoot here too (but i know, i will never kill peoples on the street!). it is ... i don't know how i can say it, it is strange, unusual for me.
no, but i feel with the young people, they was 400 young people, want to celebrate Christmas and a few idiots comes, thanks god that not more people are injured or dead!.
i hope u too. Thank you

Amen! A few idiots ruined the whole thing.
Unfortunately, we don't tend to remove those idiots from the rest of us for any meaningful time if they are convicted in a court of law.
If someone did this in Germany, and were duly convicted by a Judge or Jury, how much time in prison would they receive, would you estimate?
Most likely, the perpetrators here are already on some type of probation or parole for similar crimes, but are still out amongst us, preying on society.

PAH how long? to short in Germany. Perhaps 4-5 years? we have "live long" this is 15years but the judge dont make it so often.... i thought the american jury are stronger than ours. i told you from our neighbor. it was realy heavy! i grow up with the 3 kids. The youngest was the boy (andreas) and he had 2 older sisters. it was a good family, his father was a nonmedica practitioner and his mom was a stay at home mom. they go a lot of time in church and it was a realy nice family (we thougt everything is great there). Andreas and his best friend was in a shooter club, they stolen some guns and no one ever thought that could be them. a few months later, andreas and his best friend goes drinking with andreas parents, then they go home (the parents still stay). Them they shot the 2 sisters. After a few hours the parents come back home, their shot the parents they had a multifamily home and 3 older people live there also, but their dont hear anything! andreas got 10 years, and perhaps he can leave the jail earlier (good behavior). 4 peoples and 10 years? andreas best friend is "ill-the docs said he has 2 diffrent personalitys" and he can leave the jail in 4 years! Andreas made the plan and dont shot, he said to his best friend he must shot ( he was controlled by andreas- the doc said..). crazy. on the next day we drove to my mother and we saw the police, we saw andreas crying and i NEVER thought that he could do this!!!! and one day bevor andreas do this, i saw him and his oldest sister painting the fence.

This made the news here in Texas.
Guns don't cause the problem, the idiots that are turned out through the revolving doors repeatedly are the real problem.
And the crime in Chattanooga is down lower than it's been in years. It's actually lower than double the national average.
