OK, I have mixed feelings here. The kids are away playing at Kodiak and are getting beaten badly.
My son was just sent in for the first time in the fourth quarter. Once again, he outplays and outscores the starters. The Kodiak announcers are amazed at this kid's playing and are amazed they haven't seen him yet.
This has happened at several games now, yet he still doesn't start.
There are two kids like that. The coach won't play them, yet they out play and outscore the starters. One of the starters is a starter simply because he's 6'8", but he sucks. My son and two others out jump him and are better shooters.
It makes me proud to hear the away announcers bragging on my kid, but frustrates me that he and the other kid don't get starts.

OK, he scored 30 of the 61 points the team scored in the JV game, and he only played 2 quarters so he would be eligible for all 4 quarters of the varsity game, and he only played the last quarter of the varsity game, yet was the number 3 scorer for the team.
It was fun hearing the radio announcer: "Where's this guy been? Why hasn't he been playing? Number 55 is on fire!" and "The Mariners have found a little bit of spark with this guy."
