I saw this on Chattanoogan.com - "Also, if in a no-passing zone, motorists may not pass a bicycle or any other vehicle and, in Tennessee, by definition, a bicycle is a vehicle."
I was under the impression that one COULD pass slow-moving vehicles such as post office vehicles, garbage trucks and such if it is safe to do so. Am I mistaken?

Not in a no-passing zone. That's why it is called a no-passing zone.

Not in a no-passing zone. That's why it is called a no-passing zone. So when I was driving though Chattavegas today in a no-passing lane and came up to two orange barrels blocking the road, I should have waited for the barrels to be moved to proceed? :-)

Only if you roll out the barrels.
