East Ridge Police say the suspect that shot at police, led them on a chase over the state line and rammed a deputies patrol car was just 14 years old. Tuesday, Channel 3 is learning more about what led up to it. It started in Tunnel Hill. The 14-year-old's family called Tunnel Hill Police, saying the boy took off from their South Carolina home in a family car, and called saying he had a gun and might rob a store. A Tunnel Hill police officer was at the Mapco Mart on Highway 201 when he noticed the car the runaway teen's family described, as a maroon Chevy HHR with South Carolina plates. "He backed off and called for backup to get another unit out there," Tunnel Hill Police Chief Roy Brunson says. www.wrcbtv.com/story/17517213/14-yr-old-shoots-at-police-leads-chase
