From today's booking report: ROBINSON, ERIC VON 7346 OLD CLEVELAND PIKE CHATTANOOGA, 37416 41 Hamilton County DOG RUNNING AT LARGE
Whoever busted that dog owner, THANK YOU!
Some dog owners don't seem to get it that dogs running loose are a significant threat to motorcycle riders as well as to others.

I hope there was additional charges, really jailing someone over a loose dog. Just last week The High Sherriff says he's going broke running the gray bar hotel. Maybe if we would cut down on the chicken shit arrests it would save some coin. I'm sure there was some extenuating circumstances which led to handcuffs...

Aceman, I finally agree with you on something. What is the world coming to?

Probably the usual, insufficient groveling in the presence of LE

Fwiw, my cat "Mousey-tung" aka "Chairman Meow" (yes, I always jokingly refered to him as the "Communist Cat" as he thought he owned everything) was killed yesterday while I was at work by somebody's stray dogs roaming the streets of Red Bank. This happened on Dayton Blvd.
You may say it was "just a cat", but that cat had been my daughter's best friend since she was a baby. She cannot remember a time in her life without that cat.
At the moment there are worse things that can happen to a dog owner than going to jail.
And these were, by witness reports, Rottweilers and were wearing collars.
Keep your damn dogs locked up people.

I feel the same way about cat owners every time a cat sleeps on my hood or gets in my trash.
Bad dog owner ≈ bad cat owner.
Either way, stray and loose pets will often meet their makers here in the county. Rack - boom.

I'm just surprised it was loose dogs rather than coyotes.

Sorry to hear about Mousey Tongue Responsible dog owners don't let their dogs run at large. We need more responsible citizens. I don't know about why police involvement was warranted, but we are porbably only getting part of this story. Stray running at large would be sufficient reason to involve the popos.

Why? They'll just tell you to trap it or shoot it.

1.) This happened within the City of Red Bank limits. (actually on Dayton Blvd.)
2.) These dogs evidently also behaved aggressively towards my neighbor when she went out to check her mail at about the time the attack happened. Aggressively here is charging, lunging, nipping, and barking at her even though she was in her own yard and was not attempting to interact with them in any way.
3.) Mousey only stayed in our yard when he was outside.

You have my condolences for your loss, kroisis.
The pets I stewarded, and I was solely responsible for, growing up, seemed to educate me more about living life than any human I have ever known, to date.
Curiously, I can barely remember my SSN, but I can name every pet, and remember a great story about them and me, I have had since 1964.
Missy was the first Collie I ever had. Her name, and presence, is easier to recall, and the memories are much more pleasurable to remember, than all the good times I had with all my ex-wives.
A pet will never, ever betray you. That is why I believe all pets go to heaven.
Like, automatically.
