Sounds like fun, except that I usually barricade myself in the house on the day after Thanksgiving - the roads are not safe!

Oh-that sounds like something I would actually venture out for on "Black Friday"! Plus we always head downtown that evening when they light up downtown!

Ha, ha ... not heard of any parking garage plans in the AD. And, Shannon, we'd be happy to see you.

How perfect! I was just on the phone with a friend, who wanted me to explore the Art District with her next week... or, I might even bring my wife. ::friendly bump::

I'd love to bring her (my wife), but she has to work... Actually, we had Valentine's dinner with this friend & her husband. Had a great time, and part of what makes us want to come back. That, and we're both fledgling photographers. Thanks, and I'll keep my peepers open for ya!

Sounds great ... I'll most likely be in the Maclellan House, for most of the day.

Why doesn't Hunter Museum give out free sculptures?
Seriously, they could give away "mini-prints" with their gallery hours printed on the back.

LOL ~ that's an issue you'd have to address with them, I'm afraid. They are not part of the business entity entitled 'The Bluff View Art District,' per se (neither is the Houston Museum). We are all just in close proximity to one another.

Oooo! That really does sound like a lot of fun! We fell in love with Back Inn Cafe awhile ago. But due to parking... doubtful our lazy arses will make it down. *shrugs* I might be able to persuade...

the Hunter is open that day, so after you get done in AD, pop on over. The new Temporary exhibit is being moved in as we speak.
Also, may not be what you had in mind for free scupture, but your very own bloodhound will be having a "cookie decorating class from 12:30 until 3 I belive are the times. It's $2.50 per child (or adult) and of course you get to leave with your personally decorated edible piece of art. (yes, he totally got roped into this, and I think its gonna be hilarious, he is out purchasing sprinkles and food coloring in anticipation)

Dammit. I wish I wasn't such a chicken with the traffic as I know Lil' Red would get a kick outta decorating cookies and Mommy not freaking out about the mess!

Will there ever be shuttle service? Only the type that is known by the term 'taxi.'
