City Putting In Cameras At Coolidge, Renaissance Parks
Cameras To Be Utilized In Other Parts Of The City
posted April 17, 2007 The city is planning to install 23 cameras at Coolidge and Renaissance parks in North Chattanooga. Officials said the cameras should help police officers to be able to better monitor the spacious adjacent city parks. Coolidge Park had to be cleared recently when officers said a large group of young people became unruly. Under a contract with Motorola, the city will eventually be able to utilize up to 80 cameras and place them throughout the city, IT Director Mark Keil said.
