On April 24, 2007, members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along with assistance from members of the DEA were conducting a “buy bust” on a subject.
The location of the buy was at the Shell Station located at Bonny Oaks Drive and Jersey Pike. The suspect pulled into the Shell Station; detectives were attempting to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect fled the location; shots were fired at this time striking the vehicle. Members of the Narcotics Division pursued the suspect, and took him into custody on Hancock Road off of Jersey Pike. Suspect was found to be in possession of a significant amount of crack cocaine.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation into this incident. More details will be released as they come available.

At this time a search warrant has been executed at the suspects residence located at 8208 Cicero Trail. Narcotics Detectives conducting the search warrant did find a significant amount of crack cocaine and marijuana inside the residence.
The suspect is being detained at this time pending federal and state charges. No information is being released at this time as far as suspect information. When I do get that information, I will pass it on as well as a photo when available.

The suspect from last nights “buy bust has been identified as 37 year old Edward Lebron Sims. The suspect is currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail under a federal hold with no bond.
