Gee...maybe we can see if they found our lawnmower from last July. The one we got to replace it isn't self-propelled, and my H is still complaining!

First: Thank You CPD and all. Hope you got some of them off 5th Avenue. Home sure would be safer, if you did. When I was growing up we never locked our windows or doors. The neighbors always looked out for one another. Now, I don't know the hispanics 2 doors down, nor anyone in the next block towards town and only 1 neighbor in the next block away from town. There are drug dealers catty cornered across the street from me, hence the video cameras. The slumlords own most of the houses on the block. The city has condemned some of them and others are not worth fixing. The water lines have broken in most of the houses here and had to be replaced for a huge cost. Home just isn't the same, but it is still HOME.

WDW -
I know what you mean! And if your home is anything like mine, once you close the door and draw the shades, you can basically forget where it's located because the inside ain't nothin' like the outside.

And to think Aunt Belle used to run a millinary store in the front and lived in the back and had chickens and a garden. So many memories. wdw

Good for all those LEOs involved. Nice to know that they are being pro-active. Hope they continue with this strategy. Quick question, what are all the sectors of the city ?

Damn, I'm sure happy I chose a quiet and inexpensive corner of Red Bank to buy a home. Not only that, but across the street there is an older lady who is home much of the time and watches the action in the neighborhood, next to her is a State Trooper who often has his cruiser parked in the driveway. All in all, for the price we paid for the house and the lower taxes of Red bank, we feel we made a good decision (for a change).

WDW, I still check on your house at night. Creepy, eh? It's been a long time, but I'm still there...I'm the shift boss over E. Chatt and I've been moved to third shift, but Doin' Right still has no boundaries for me. And you are Remembered.
As for Sectors? The City is broken down into Three Sectors, further containing a total of Seven Zones.
Sector one is everything north of the river, downtown all the way to Georgia, and Tiftonia. Zones Alpha (Hixson/N Chatt), Bravo (Downtown to W. 20th?), and Charlie (South of W. 20th(?) to GA, then covering Tiftona')
Sector two is everything between Hwy. 153 and Georgia, and between Amnicola (down just past Wilcox) and the Ridge. 153 to McCallie (East Chattanooga / Glenwood, Highland Park etc) is Echo, McCallie to Georgia (Highland Park, East Lake) is Fox.
Sector three is 'Brainerd' and Highway 58. From the McCallie Tunnels to 153 @ Lee Hwy (Delta Team), then from there to Councilfire and from Oolteway/Old Lee Hwy to '58 (George Team).
Confusing, but it works. Used to be two sectors with four zones/teams, but geographically and neighborhood wise, this is a pretty good division.
Doesn't mean much to the average Joe, but you asked and there it is. Feel free to inquire further.

I can't speak for WDW but I for one appreciate the 'eye of Shot!' watching my house in sector 2.... Btw Shot, the city will be getting a new communications officer and I will be getting a new roommate all in one fell swoop....don't let the vultures circle her too hard k?

I'll interview both to make certain they are 'Acceptable'.
Let me know what shift the former one gets, and if the other is afraid of sirens chirping randomly in the night.
(...Also know that the Communications officer, by training proxy, will technically be my Great great great granddaughter. Ask the trainers about this: I have made that geneology well known there.)

Ah but they are one and the same Shot!..... And I fully expect the eye of Shot to be upon her....make sure your co-workers don't bully her much.. And to answer the question before it is asked....yes she is hot...and young and blonde...and if I had little sister she would be it...personality like mine only a bit more 'granola' and bless her little heart ,mine will be the first home outside of her parents and her old dorm room. Me thinks it will be a learning experience for her...
