Officials begin process of drafting local policy on hate crimes Tuesday, May 01, 2007
By Yolanda Putman Staff Writer City officials are developing a proposed policy that would require a coordinated response to hate crimes from police, federal agencies and community leaders. Chattanooga and U.S. Justice Department officials met Monday to discuss the proposal. "We're all here because we have hopes and dreams for Chattanooga that we can all live together as one people," said Norma Hansen, chairwoman of the Office of Multicultural Affairs' hate crime task force. A criminal act is considered a hate crime when it is intended to intimidate or hurt someone because of their race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or disability, according to the Justice Department. What if you intimidate or hurt someone and it is not because of their race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.......is it a love crime?

Idiots. ALL crimes are 'hate' crimes.

True fact: When the job opening was posted for 'Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs,' I applied for the job.
Unfortunately, I wasn't chosen.

Not quite. Sodomy and even oral sex are illegal in TN. Those would be love crimes
And then there are things like jaywalking and speeding - pretty indifferent. I have never hated someone so much that I got the urge to cross the street in the middle of the block.

If you commit a crime, you obviously hate the law. If you loved the law, you wouldn't commit a crime.
Therefore, all crime is a matter of hate.

Maybe one just loves other things more than the law...

You should download the Tennessee Code Annotated next, whatever you do.
Those bits have been off the books for years, unless you do them in public view.

Ironically, national hate crime expansion is also being debated today in Congress where any & every thought someone has posted on any internet site or even somewhere on their computers' hard drives may be dredged up & put into evidence regardless of whether those posted thoughts have any bearing on a particular crime & used as "hate" evidence should someone be charged with a "hate" crime. On the surface, hate crime legislation seems to be a minor symbolic irritant; beneath the surface, these laws will make inquisition style tribunals spring to life any time a protected minority wishes ....

For the record, an contrary to popular belief:
I LOVE NIGGERS, KIKES, AND SPICS.
I love them all to death.
No hate here at all. Nothing but love.
