Defense attorneys say new rules for injection are still inhumane
By SHEILA BURKE Staff Writer Tennessee is ready to resume executions under new rules it released Monday, using a three-drug lethal injection method opponents say is still inhumane and unconstitutional. Gov. Phil Bredesen will lift a 90-day moratorium on executions on Wednesday. Philip Workman, convicted of killing a Memphis police officer, is scheduled to die May 9. "It's essentially the same protocol as before, with a little window dressing," Nashville attorney Brad MacLean said. Among the complaints MacLean and other defense lawyers have about the execution method is the use of three chemicals to kill inmates.

They sure as hell aren't going to kill themselves, bwa-haha!" Nashville attorney Brad MacLean said, grinning maniacly. Among the complaints MacLean and other defense lawyers have about the execution method is the use of three chemicals to kill inmates. "Clearly, a fourth chemical is needed."

Inhumane method of execution? Balderdash!!!
IMNSHO they should draw and quarter them with ATVs and televise it at prime time.
Make money for the prison system and maybe even squeeze a bit of deterrence out of it.

Am I the only supporter of drawing & quartering? Then how about A whoopee cushion may be unusual, but certainly it isn't cruel.

There are easy ways to kill people without them experiencing pain....if that's what you want... Cut off their heads or something... Might be unusual, but not cruel..

I'm sorry, but I'm all for them feeling pain as they are executed, and as much as possible.

Really - if you are going to kill them as punishment, why do you need to be nice?
