Missing South Carolina Woman's Car Found in Ft. Oglethorpe Fort Oglethorpe Police Chief Larry Black and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations are assisting South Carolina authorities with a missing persons investigation. On Thursday, May 3, a stolen vehicle from South Carolina was recovered abandoned on the parking lot of the local hospital. Ft. Oglethorpe detectives have impounded this vehicle while the investigation continues. Detectives in Colleton County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina are investigating an active missing persons case involving the owner of the recovered vehicle. Shelia Dodd and her son were last seen two days ago. They were last seen around their home in South Carolina. This multi-state joint investigation is continuing. Ft. Oglethorpe officials can only release a very limited amount of information at this time. The vehicle seized Thursday is a gray Toyota Rav 4 SUV with South Carolina tags. Fort Oglethorpe Police Chief Larry Black asks anyone who may have seen this vehicle or occupants on the front parking lot of Hutcheson Medical Center late Wednesday night or Thursday morning to please call the Fort Oglethorpe Detective Division at 706-866-2512.
