I took my Mom to a doctor's appointment today and all over the waiting room, exam rooms, hallways and even the restrooms, there were signs about voting for Jim Hammond for sheriff. My Mom is retired from the HCSD as a dispatcher. As we were leaving while I was scheduling her next appointment, she got into a conversation with one of the doctors about Hammond. She said she would not vote for him and the doctor got a real nasty attitude. He was rude to Mom. She told him that she had worked with Hammond for 15 years and one day, while still working, went into his office and he did not know who she was. The doctor said, "I see lots of people everyday and don't remember them." There is a big difference in working with someone and only seeing them occasionally in an office. There was other things said that I did not like and I turned and said, "Come on Mom, you don't have to put up with this shit." I don't think a doctors office is the place to campaign for any political office. And I damn sure don't think the doctor should have been as rude as he was. And by the way, I am not through with this asshole yet. He and the rest of the doctors will hear from me. DON'T FU@K WITH MY MOM!!!! Nana is not a happy camper!!!!

I can't believe anyone would put political signs in a dr's office! It's a controversial subject. Pt's don't want to see that stuff!

Why would you have all that posted in a doctor's office.
Ugh- I deal with doctors on a daily basis with my job. . . . I could write thousands of rants about them. I hope you find a better one!

We won't be going back. Mom does not know that yet. This is a pain management doctor at Parkridge. Anyone know of another good doctor for pain management?

I'm smart enough to never mix work with politics.

Another paradox. Ten years ago, when he was running against Cupp, I'll bet your whole family gave quarts of blood as campaign donations to elect Jim.
Now that he's gone over to the other side, you've got nothing for him. Do you vote for the Party or the man?

I have never voted for Hammond and never will. But I didn't vote for Cupp either. Why do you want to turn this discussion into a political argument? This is about how a doctor treated my mother.
