AMEN brother(haw haw)...couldn't have said it any better.Straight up & pretty much true! These tea-baggers are typically a bunch of mis-informes moronic galoots who stole the term 'tea-bag' from them queers! Where were these idjits when Bush/Cheney ran up our debt to astronomical levels? Watchin Faux News of course. Who stole what from the "queers," as you so eloquently put it? The participants in the initial stages of the American Revolution are now "queers"? I think the real national issue should be helping people to help themselves. Perhaps if a person could string together words to make sentences then they might be employable. If they were then employable then they might be able to afford health insurance. If people become educated they run the risk of thinking for themselves and shedding the spoon-fed liberal rhetoric. They might enjoy some of the things in life that require the use of critical thinking skills and the understanding of subtlety and nuance. They might develop independent thinking and shed the idea that someone else has to provide and protect them from everything. The idea that they might bear at least some responsibility for protecting themselves and purchasing their own life necessitates including health care. Most people see though the guise "for the less fortunate". Most people are not fooled by the feigned philanthropy. You cannot be a credible spokesperson for the "less fortunate" when you are trying to dictate how you want other people's money spent on you.

Former Officer Freeman Sues Wal-Mart, Greeter posted December 23, 2009 Former Chattanooga Police Officer Kenneth Freeman has sued Wal-Mart and 71-year-old Collegedale Wal-Mart greeter William Walker in Federal Court. The lawsuit claims that the greeter was using racial profiling when he tried to stop the officer as he left the store last December. It says Wal-Mart condoned the alleged racial profiling. The suit says a claim that the officer became angry and knocked down the elderly greeter was exaggerated. This gets more and more interesting. This is the story that will not die. Of course Wal-Mart is going to rightfully claim the greeter broke store policy. Freeman's side is going to then point to a history of abuse by Wal-Mart's security and how the greeter was not terminated for an egregious violation of store policy. If nothing else Mr. Grabby-Greeter is going to have to spend up some of his $10,000 he virtually stole from the city of Chattanooga defending himself.

Because if there's one thing God won't tolerate, it's giving poor people access to healthcare. You people are so unlike your God. Sometimes I think if there IS a heaven and a God, I might get to go and most Evangelical Christians won't, just because I at least give a shit about the less fortunate and I'm honest in my non-beliefs. Whereas, it seems an awful lot of Christians are a bunch of self interested, greedy, hypocrites who cherry pick the Bible for self serving purposes. But hey, thats just me. Merry Christmas. Now that you've gotten God out of your system here is a hint. There is no such thing as Santa Claus. Twist facts and try to manipulate people by browbeating them all you want but you ain't getting anything for free. If anyone is a bunch of "self-interested, greedy hypocrites who cherry pick" it is the far left. Fuck the nation, fuck the economy, fuck the future generations as long as you all get a political victory you don't care. You know as well as anyone else these "risky schemes" will serve no one and only burden the present economy and jeopardize the next generation with lingering massive debt. A few trillion here and a few trillon there starts to add up. Even the mathematically challenged can grasp that. How exactly do you "give a shit" about the "least fortunate" by wrapping yourself in a political agenda that uses other people time, resources and money? Who is the hypocrite? Can you see why people who are not far-left ideologues are genuinely skeptical when they encounter people such as you? When I read one of your overly dramatic polemics my bullshit meter is pegged out.

U.S. prison population to see first drop since 1972 By JEFF CARLTON Associated Press Dec. 19, 2009, 3:30PM DALLAS — The United States may soon see its prison population drop for the first time in almost four decades, a milestone in a nation that locks up more people than any other. The inmate population has risen steadily since the early 1970s as states adopted get-tough policies that sent more people to prison and kept them there longer. But tight budgets now have states rethinking these policies and the costs that come with them. “It's a reversal of a trend that's been going on for more than a generation,” said David Greenberg, a sociology professor at New York University. “In some ways, it's overdue.” The U.S. prison population dropped steadily during most of the 1960s, and there were a few small dips in 1970 and 1972. But it has risen every year since, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. "Its overdue" fucking sociologists and their revolving door approach. I hope if there has to be a next victim that it is them.

By that reasoning, the Vulgate can't be trusted, either, because it differs from the earlier Latin manuscripts. Better, if you have thousands of manuscripts that all have the same word, then that word is good. If there is a variation, the scholars, look at the history of the manuscripts in question. Perhaps the Vulgate is incorrect. Maybe we have the wrong copy of the ancient documents to translate to begin with... I mean who could actually read back then anyway? If it were really important I guess Jesus would have written the stuff down and signed it to officialize it. Or we could have had books delivered straight from Heaven like the Latter Day Saints. So we have the pieces of the puzzle, we just have to have the time and resources to sort it all out? Seems sort of esoteric to me. Regardless, I think we could all agree that Jesus was not a socialist. Being the small family business owner that he was.

It seems pretty Christian per se. Perhaps it's a bias that has existed for a long time as man-made doctrine. It's pretty amazing to look at the history of manuscripts and see things that have been added, usually because one person made a textual note, such as, "Jesus would forgive them", and the next person copying the manuscript putting it in the text. The text the KJV uses was prepared from only a handful of manuscripts that were available at the time. Erasmus did a very good job with what he had to work with. (Except those who commissioned the work wanted something put in that he didn't think belonged, so he told them, "Bring me a manuscript with it and I'll put it in there", and they brought him a manuscript that was about a decade old that had it. He added it, as he had promised, but let it be known that it didn't belong.) Today, we have thousands of manuscripts, and teams of researchers comparing them and looking at their origins, etc. The last time the NA was updated, I think there were a total of 7 changes made, and they were relatively minor, but important. I have some great software that lets me read the two side-by-side, but I have to actually use the books to read the notes. Sounds a lot like "The Jesus Seminar". You see what theological conclusion they came up with using the same deductive and deconstructionist methods. Whenever people have wanted to tool with the Bible they are generally imposing their bias on it, from Martin Luther to The Jesus Seminar. I'm always skeptical regardless of who is rewriting the book. I've always considered the Vulgate to be the most authoritative Bible from a historical point of view. It says "Pater dimitte illis non enim sciunt quid faciunt." I don't see the reasoning with picking and choosing. Either the gospel is good, or it is corrupt. It can't be both. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_Vaticanus_Graecus_1209

According to the Nestles-Aland text, which is THE Greek text for most scholars, Luke 23:34 doesn't belong. So, it should either be omitted or at least bracketed and questioned. I have never heard anything about this... It seems pretty Christian per se.

Bring a gun to West Park on Saturday and get a gift card Unwanted guns will be accepted, no questions asked, at a gun buyback scheduled for Saturday in West Park. Those who turn in a gun will receive a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. They can take their $50 dollar Wal-Mart card and apply it toward the purchase of a new firearm. Its a neat-o cash-for-clunkers for firearms.

I thought so. Even those Blue line decals I bet will get you out of murder. Our Mayor in Cleveland Tom Rowland has FOP Tags on his Hummer. I've Always wondered why, he was never an Officer and I doubt since he's not an Officer why he gets to sport FOP license tags. Don't you have to be a police officer and member of the FOP to get those issued? The blue line decals will only earn a person two things: 1. Ridicule 2. Increase the chances of your auto getting broken into. You are right about the benefits, but that was before the market was overloaded with counterfeit blue line stickers. It used to be that an officer was issued 2 of them when he graduated from a law enforcement academy. They were supposed to be strictly for law enforcement use, but sadly an easy to reproduce symbol was chosen. Now they are worthless, you may as well hang handcuffs on your rear view mirror.

I was thinking something didn't look right, Joe. It was taken about the same time there were here for a concert at a music venue... I googled a large format of the picture, and on second inspection it does not look like our beloved bridge. www.superdrag.com/images/Superdrag-IndustryGiants07.jpg1. Cameras. 2. The walking surface of the bridge. It would have to be another bridge somewhat close to here. I wonder which bridge it is?

www.krgv.com/news/local/story/Pregnant-Woman-Helps-Pull-Teens-Off-Officer/OdPkMHFjBkaOJb1zbGIKzw.cspx?articleID=90522ALTON - Angela Gutierrez says she had to do something when she saw a police officer being attacked. "Nobody wants to be in that situation," she says. Gutierrez, who is nine months pregnant, was driving down the road with her husband and child, when she saw a group of teens attack a police officer. The Alton officer was called to the scene to break up a fight. Before arriving he already knew he would need help and called for backup. The teens the officer spotted refused to cooperate. Instead, they attacked. Dashcam video recorded sounds of the teens beating the officers repeatedly. Help finally arrived for the officer. It wasn't another officer. It was Gutierrez, whose baby is due in two weeks. ---------- I respectfully nominate this lady for the award that is the opposite of "Police Blotter Asshat of the Year" when it is created.

I used to live across the street from the golf course, I had more issues with crazy drivers and bikers taking up the whole road than I ever did with range.... I used to go to the area to hike, bike and play golf. In all honesty you'd never know a gun- range was there if you were a casual visitor. I am not sure when people use the gun range, but I've never seen evidence of it being used (IE hearing gun fire, traffic to and from the range). If and when the move the hospital and/or range, that might be nice riverfront land for commercial development.

Statements like this have always puzzled me. Where does lead come from in the first place? I'm pretty sure that lead is mined. If it's a concern I'm pretty sure they will have to totally unearth that place. There is no telling how much lead is there I've seen closed ranges. They pretty much quarantine them. They may as well be radioactive. So the residents have to put up with the poop smell, stray bullets from the range, stray golf-balls and loud explosions? And they have to watch fat men in spandex on their bicycles ride past? What's the resale value like there?

You can not determine if a temp tag is legitimate through any system checks like a regular tag. Temp tags must be displayed visibly though and the date must still be in compliance. Typically temp tags are only good for 30 days. How much potential for abuse is there with temp tags?

Mitt Romney is a Mormon, so the evangelicals won't vote for him... Who else will they try to run? Any ideas? okz: Does it matter who they will run? They are sooo full of ideas... a veritable cornucopia ya know?! As full of ideas and experience as the current president? Maybe people will be sick of "ideas" and want to stick to tried and true domestic and international policy. How many more "new ideas" (re: risky schemes) are people willing to accept? The question is: was the temporary tag visible for the officers to see? If not then the stop is good. I have stopped people in the past for not having a tag to find that it had been taped in the back window and had fallen down. If the tag can’t be seen how is anyone supposed to know it is there. The stop becomes a legal stop and anything found in plain view or established through probable cause is admissible. How can you determine if a temp tag is legitimate or not? Can they be verified though systems checks like a regular tag?

A similar situation would be if a vehicle was stopped for no front plate, Calif. issues two, if the vehicle was only viewed from the rear and the officer chose to remain ignorant about a front plate that was legally attached.

Hey, Don't get me wrong, I'm all for tasers. In most cases, I think someone who is in need of being tasered, either from being combative with a prison guard, school security or resisting arrest from police officers, is in need of a good ass kicking or a little pain to subdue them. But any kind of bruises or blood can mean lawsuits. And I'm sure the shoot them in the leg option would have even higher fatality rates... So... that brings me to ask... is there nothing else they can use? How about poison darts/tranquilizers that put them to sleep immediately? or a less lethal taser... Technology must have a solution... Oh... and the 1 in 20 was fabricated... hence the " or however many it is" comment. I think the death rates attributed to the tasers are highy suspect. I think the agressors are dying of something else, not because of being tased. I think that they are a million times safer than any kind of sedatives or other non/less lethal means of control. If you fight with someone the will need medical attention. People have died from fighting. If you hit someone with a baton they will need medical attention. If you spray a person in the face with "pepper spray" they will need attention, and believe it or not this has caused fatalities as well. People have died from bean bag rounds. Hell some people have dropped dead from cardiac arrest due to just the mere sight of law enforcement. Your hypothetical sedative round, would be really dangerous. I have actually witnessed a taser in use on a bad guy in person. They work like magic, literally. A guy went from totally combative asshole to compliant calm guy in less than a second. AND it required no injuries or medical attention on the officer's behalf of the bad guy's.
