I have a 16X16 area in my yard that was once carpetted with outdoor carpet and had an awning over it. Now we have moved the carpet and awning, and all we have is a big patch of dirt. I have tried sowing seed on it, but my dogs have decided it makes a really good dust pit and are just digging holes in it instead. 5 bags of fill dirt and one badly sprained ankle later, I decided maybe they need a playground on that area that I could just put mulch under, since apparently grass isn't going to grow.
I'm looking for the old-school wooden platforms, tiered levels, fort-like playgrounds with tunnels and tires. I don't really need anything more than them to stand on, jump off of, and tunnel under/through since they are dogs and not toddlers. Just something for the silly things to play "king of the mountain" on so it takes their mind off digging. if you know of anything like this that someone isn't using, please let me know. I know it's a long shot, but the kids would appreciate it. I would also be interested in one of those fiberglass "rock" well covers so that the kids could climb on those as well. They love standing on top of their dog house, but I don't want to pay $80 for a new one just for a dog to play with.
Oh, and of course, I'm broke like everyone else. I am also a Pure Romance consultant and my hubby is a Tastefully Simple consultant, so I'd be more than happy to swap product for playground stuff. PM me for more info on that if needed.

Not sure if this will be helpful, but the old Alton Park Recreation Center on Workman Road(?) has playground equipment just sitting there in a field of 3 foot high weeds. Call City Parks & Rec and see what they say...surely the City is willing to sell excess equipment at a fair price.

If you haul it, you can have the dead hot tub.... Look at it as a platform only needing either a sloping wood ramp to get out and water, or a big wood plank over the top for them to sit on top of.
