a guy i work with has a dirt bike for sell or possible trade. the bike is a 1991 Honda CR500r dirt bike. i have seen this bike run many many times and im here to tell you, this thing is a beast. it hauls his 155 pound ass like it isnt even on the bike.
the bike had a complete rebuild last summer and he just put a new alternator/stator in it as well. that alone cost over 500 bucks installed. it also has new handlebars and several other items as well. he spray painted the bike black. it looks mean as hell and it will get on down the road. he has ridden it at Aetna, Prentice Cooper and Taylor's Ridge with no problems at all.
he is going to take several pictures of the bike so i can post them here, and as soon as the pics are posted, the bike itself will be at a location in East Ridge from 8am to 5:30 pm mon-sat till it is either sold or traded.
what he is looking for in trade is an honda 4 wheeler, preferably 4x4. the size he is looking for is a 400 or above. the monetary value of what he is asking for the bike is $2500.00 and that places the window of years between 90 to 99 for what he might be able to trade. it is ultimately up to him and anyone who might be interested, but i think he would sell it outright for $2500 as well. this bike is worth every penny and it is not for a beginner. this thing is a serious ass hauling machine.
Southern Honda recently went over the bike to make sure it was in top shape before he started riding it this summer. they adjusted the fuel mixture and the clutch and brakes and did several other things to it as well. he has well over 3 grand in this bike and he knows he wont ever get that out of it, but as he got to thinking about what he has invested in it, he has decided to see if he can trade it for a 4 wheeler for him to ride around with his wife on the back. she isnt into the dirt bike thing, and that eats him up. he wants her to go with him but she wont get on the dirt bike lol
if anyone is interested, please reply here with serious inquiries and i will get the pictures from him and hopefully posted by this weekend. his camera takes video too so we might take a video of it running and link it to youtube so everyone can hear it run.
he is strictly a honda man so unless it is a trade for a honda ATV, he wont be interested.
