I've learned a few things by watching TV and hearing about Iraq and September 11th on talk radio. Here's what we now know...
Arabs dont love Jesus. Arabs hate America. Arabs hate freedom and justice and truth. Arabs kill everybody and don't value human life.
So the big question is, can they go to heaven? I don't think so. So maybe if we all want to live in peace, our fearless President should nuke THE WHOLE WORLD. Seriously, everyone. Even the US.
That way Jesus and God could prove to the world once and for all who is right and who is wrong. All the Americans/Brits/ non-French white people would be taken to Heaven. While we're getting enternal hugs from our Lord Jesus Christ, those dirty Arabs will be burning in hell.
Why continue this futile fight here on Earth? Why not just let Jesus end the debate once and for all?

Not all Arabs hate America.
Just a select few.

Not true.
Every time I see Arabs on TV they're killing people and being disrespectful to Jesus and our President.

Now this is even funnier than us being good friends to the Iraqis!
You are joking and/or just saying inflammatory things to set people off, right? You can't actually believe that.

However, the style of reasoning (if reasoning can actually be applied in this case) does seem to mesh well with much of what passes for common sense these days.

I'm thinking from the ridiculousness of the statements in bushcheneyxx's stuff that provocation is what she/he/it is after, with reasoned argument a very distant second.

Simple as this... they believe in Muslims/Islams, which says it's okay to kill other people and wage war and oppress people.
We believe in Jesus, who says "Thou Shalt Not Kill" and teaches peace and understanding and freedom and democracy.
How can they go to heaven if they don't accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior? Kordax, care to answer that one for everybody?
So following that line of reasoning, if all the good guys get to go to heaven when they die, and all the bad guys have to go to hell, then why don't we all just die? It's a chance for the Arabs to put their money where there mouths is. Are. Whatever.

Funny, I don't remember much democracy in the Bible. Kings and Caesars and Pharaohs, lots of those, but no democracies.

LOL! You know, it is sometimes entertaining to listen to someone mixing metaphors. It is hilarious to read butch-hineyOH-ATE mixing logic and philosophies in a manner that suggests a master of comedy. It is frightening to realize that what butch-hineyOH-ATE writes is an accurate representation of how many people "think". Can you even wonder why America has some of the problems it does today when a specimen like the one butchAss portrays is in the gene pool?

Dude, Jesus didn't say that. That was Moses reading a memo from Jesus' dad. Jesus & Moses don't even look alike ;D

So you're calling Jesus a communist? I'll spring for your one way ticket to Iraq. What? There are communists in Iraq? Wrong part of the world, dude. I think you missed some of your Bible reading. See the 2nd chapter of Acts, especially verses 44-47: 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Now that's communism.

The Bible also says "Eye For An Eye."
September 11th.
Now, it's our turn. Next stop... BAGHDAD!

Have you forgotten the beatitudes? How about the "golden rule?" Let me guess, it's not "convenient" to remember this, right?
The Bible says lots of things. It's out-of-context applications that make extremists look like the idiots they are.

Dammit. I thought we were rid of mongrel.
I wish BushCheney08 would go the same way mongrel did.
Let her words speak for her, though.

And what, pray tell, did Baghdad have to do with 9/11? You did read the literally thousands of stories about how President Bush admitted that there was no link between Saddam and the Al Queda terrorists, right?
The President said that there was no link. Are you calling the President a liar?

The left-wing media and college professors made him change his position on that because they were bitching about everything. Obviously he still believes, deep down in his heart, that Iraq did something bad. Otherwise, why would we still be fighting this war?

Um, Copperhead, I don't think that this is about the oil. If it was, why is it that the prices keep going up?? And why do we continue to buy mainly from the Saudis?? I think that if it were about oil, after the amount of time that we've spent there we would at least be getting barrels cheaper.

Point taken, Thorne.
In all honesty, I have no clue why our troops are REALLY there. I don't know if their continued presence will stave off a civil war or simply prolong the inevitable. What I DO know is that war is a waste of human potential and resources.
I'm still lookin' for answers 'cuz nothin' is as it seems.

Given that, it is sometimes STILL the best option available. I'm glad some people decided that in 1776. Too bad more people didn't think of that in 1939.

You're making the mistake, Thorne, of believing that the Oil Companies have anything (anything!) except profit in their heads. Every excuse they can muster will raise our gas prices. They got the $2/gal ceiling last year. They're getting the $2.50+ ceiling now. By the end of the year they might lower the price back down to $2.25, only to go for the $3 ceiling in the spring. They now have a reasonable sure source for oil, so their profits can make last years multi billions look like pocket change.

If it were about the oil, they would have bought it. That would have been cheaper than a war.
And, there are plenty of other good reasons to raise the prices.
First of all, the world market determines the price of oil. Thank India and China for tipping the supply and demand the way that it is.
Blame them, not the oil companies.
