A local TV station announced that there would be a roadblock in Dalton - a roadblock being the event where drivers are checked for licenses, insurance, drinking, etc.
I don't see the point in broadcasting the events.
Your feelings?

The Supremes have ruled that for a "Checkpoint" to be a Constitutional "stop", the date, time and approximate locations must be advertised.

Otherwise it's an unreasonable search and seizure. Besides, anyone stupid enough to be running drugs, driving without a license, driving drunk, etc. that gets stopped at an advertised checkpoint deserves their just punishment.

I could care less what the Supreme Court thinks; the real relevant thinker -- should road blocks be secret or not -- it's what Nancy Pelosi thinks that counts....

Too bad a 4pt font ad in the back of the Thrifty Nickel counts as "advertising".
