RAMALLAH, West Bank - Hamas militants have suspended a TV program that featured a Mickey Mouse lookalike urging Palestinian children to fight Israel and work for global Islamic domination, the Palestinian information minister said Wednesday. Information Minister Mustafa Barghouti said the character — a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice — represented a "mistaken approach" to the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation. He said that the program was pulled from Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV at his ministry's request and "placed under review." The character, named "Farfour," or "butterfly," but unmistakably a copy of the Disney character, preached against the U.S. and Israel each Friday on the show called "Tomorrow's Pioneers." story

Ever notice how articles will say something like "Israeli occupation" as if that is the accepted state of affairs. What wasn't given to them by the victors in WWII was obtained by the spoils of war in 1967. It is theirs, unless they want to give it away (and nowadays they kind of do, just to get rid of the trouble). It is no more "occupation" than the US is "occupying" New Mexico (despite what La Raza might say).

The borders recognized by everyone but Israel and the US are the 1967 borders. "Occupation" is the accepted situation there.
Martyr Mouse was pretty funny though but doomed to a short life - do NOT mess with Disney!

So, Grid, are you proposing we give back New Mexico and Southern California, because we're just occupying them from Mexico?

Actually I think we need to invade Mexico and Canada and take what should be ours anyway. Screw the middle east, we never keep the territory because its too sandy and it smells of camels.
But international law and treaties signed by both sides define the division of Palestine and Israel. As defined by treaty Israel has been occupying Palistinean territory for a while, pretty much the entire time Israel has existed. Each time a treaty drawing the line was signed Israel would soon occupy more Palistinean land, and soon they would draw up a new treaty reflecting the new border. I think they just got tired of writing a new agreement just so Israel could violate it too.
I wasn't proposing anything, just pointing out that Palestine is occupied according to existing treaties.
But if you want a proposal - they don't call it North America for nothing. Lets invade some land we can keep!
