The Riverbend Festival has tentatively scheduled public “Meet & Eat with the Artists” at several Riverfront and Northshore restaurants daily from June 5-13. This program was created to encourage Riverbend patrons to come out early and enjoy the downtown and Northshore businesses.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Friday, June 5th – Blue Water Grille - Chip Hawkes of "Class of '64" (Oldies) Saturday, June 6th – Blue Plate – Emmitt-Nershi Band (Bluegrass) Sunday, June 7th – 212 Market – Darrell Scott (Americana/Folk) Monday, June 8th- Greenlife Grocery - Back Door Slam (Power Blues) Wednesday, June 10th – Big River – Cornmeal (Jamgrass) Thursday, June 11th – Hennen’s – Angie Aparo (Singer/Songwriter) Friday, June 12th – Easy Bistro and Bar – Walt Wilkins (Texas Country) Saturday, June 13th – Market Street Tavern – Paleface (Pop Folk)
All bands will arrive shortly after 1 p.m., and will perform around 2 p.m.. They will be performing two or three acoustic numbers. The public will have a chance to meet the artists, eat at the restaurants, get autographs, buy special merchandise and ask the artists questions.
