Ok the whole thing sounds phishy to me. But, there is a show in Knoxville on wed. And they play the roo on friday. Wouldn't suprise me if Trey showed up and played. This is the last of the rumor mongering you will hear from me. :-p

So why bother?
If it were only David Byrne, I would be a very happy camper!

Bob Payne wrote a little satire about the mystery guest at Riverbend. He mentioned Elvis and Michael Jackson. He also gave a plug for the Tin Cup Gypsy show, which did include the fiddle player from Josh Turner's band, and the guitar player from Sara Evans band - he did that to see how many goofs would show up for Sara & Josh.
There was no mystery guest until 3 p.m. on Thursday, when FOF signed a few guys for a jam session Thursday night on the green.
Who is Bob Payne? Me.
I write the music columns for the Chattanoogan.com and also write for Performer Magazine and a couple others. I am also an adviser to the Riverbend artist selection committee for local and regional acts.
I also, on occasion, have a wicked sense of humor, especially concerning silly rumors and their manifestations.
