My daughter has to do a science fair project and the teacher rejected the one idea she was really interested in. I would like some other ideas for fairly simple project for a 6th grader. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Edited for a darn typo!

I always wanted my son to do the "Franken Pickle". But that involves electricity - probably not the best idea for a 6th grader.
(You hook up pickels - one sweet, one dill - to a large battery. The dill pickle will conduct more juice than the sweet one. If you do it right, you can see rainbow lights dancing across the pickle. I wanted to dress one up like "Franky" and one as the "Bride". My son didn't like that idea and did a project on Soda rotting your teeth. Do you know how HARD it is to get human teeth??? I don't think his teacher appreciated it one little bit.)

Upon reading Ms. Scarlett's response, how about making some sodas? I bet it would be popular, and the most expensive part would be the little tasting cups. The science- Dissolving a gas into a liquid, and then, of course, releasing it.
