Our electric free-standing range seemed to short out today. It's not that old (Kenmore, 3-years), and I've kept it in pristine condition. I need to have the electricity checked first before I address the range issue. Can someone recommend a good electrician?

I've always turned to Lawson Electric and have never been disappointed.
Bear in mind that we're only talking about a couple/few incidents.

I've worked with a number of Lawson electricians over the years. They are good.

have any breakers/fuses tripped or blown out in the breaker box? that is the first thing an electrician will check.

I tried to reach David Sharp first, but he no longer works at National Electrical. I tried "Sharp's Service Center," thinking that might be his business, but no answer, and no returned call. Called Lawson Electric before I read your suggestion, dvc, and a service person came out today -- very good, informative, and knowledgeable. Thanks for all the suggestions.
