For a drink, none of that sounds good.......except the vodka!

A real Bloody Mary I like. I dislike the ones made with V8 juice. I can't stand the beet juice in V8.

Almost as good as a Bloody Maria Jay, your recipe is too complicated. Keep the first two ingredients, replace the rest with "season to taste".

Have you tried the Hot and Spicy V8? I use Tabasco, but the Picante sauce and a lot of it. Don't forget the celery.

Yeah... If you dilute it to 1% tomato juice, 99% vodka, I'd probably be able to stomach it!

Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is still 70 Proof, which means, of course, that it's 65% water, and doesn't make a good drink, in my opinion. What it does make, however, is a good ingredient for coconut shrimp. The spicy sweetness goes well with your pina colada. This weekend I'm going to try to work up a recipe using Captain Morgan on some fat, grilled pork chops.
And you're right about the hot and spicy V8 with a stick of fresh celery and a good vodka - makes for an excellent breakfast when served with a bowl of oyster crackers. Or, it used to, back in the Old Days.

Screw Captain Morgan's. Buy Sailor Jerry's spiced rum. 92 proof and much better.
Or you can make your own. Very easy. Get a bottle of cheap amber rum. Throw in a couple of each: cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and whole allspice. Also add about an inch of vanilla bean, about a 2 inch slice of orange zest, and a slice of fresh ginger about the size of a big olive. (You can also add a few peppercorns for a kick) Let it sit a week or two or not and drink.

And I love Bloody Marys. Make mine with regular V8 and add Cajun spices, celery salt, a little more black pepper, and Crystal hot sauce. Mix this several hours in advance. Then add vodka, celery stick and olives.

Bloody Mary:
Fill a rocks glass 1/2-2/3 with ice. Add 1/2 teaspoon or so of good horseradish. NOT horseradish sauce. Add a pinch of celery salt and 4-6 grinds of fresh black pepper. Add hot sauce of choice to taste. Add Worchestershire Sauce 3-5 shakes. Pour in vodka to 1/3-1/2 full. Stir. Pour in tomato juice/V8 juice till almost full. Stir. Squeeze slice of lime over and garnish with olive/celery/pickled green beans/?. Drink. Repeat as needed.

I had a Blackberry Long Island iced tea at Fridays the other night-yummy!
That counts as rum AND vodka, right?
