It could be done, though. Use the coefficient of friction of the wet vinyl versus the launchee, and the known distance downward at that slope to calculate the speed generated at the bottom of the downhill slope. Then calculate how far an object launched at that speed, using the grade of the ramp, would travel (Horizontally and vertically although those velocities are independent of one another)) and place the pool there. And you have a ten foot (+/-) margin of error, on a windless day. Airborne formulae are almost exact. It's doable.

my problem with it is he couldn't stay on the slide for that long without hitting the grass, (there could be a slight trench possibly somebody drove their car up the hill and the slide is directly centered over the tire tread... )
real or fake its still cool as hell

Why would someone with MS fake something like that?

Yea, it could still work. I'm game. I'll bring the calculator, drag sled, formulae and the water. Duke can bring the 200 square yards of vinyl (C'mon, you don't need all those dolls!). I saw a pool for cheap at the 127 Yard Sale after 8 hours of patrol. Yoda can get the Chattanooga State engineering students to build the ramp (20 degrees would work best). Ponder has a hill, I think, but her lily pond may offer too little of a target. I gotta an extra helmet and Scarlett can make the costume. (Wait she has my extra helmet, too!) We just need a volunteer who believes everything he sees on You Tube as fact to take the ride. Frayne? We are due for a Notta "Launch" Party anyway.

We can ask the SWAT guys (And girls) to bring their new truck. They got digi-cam, Midazolam-infused bandaids.

This is the story I saw on it: Microsoft Makes Fake Waterslide Viral Video
A "megawoosh" waterslide video has been making the rounds on the internet this week. While most have already come to the conclusion that it's a hoax, its gets even more interesting when we find that Microsoft appears to be behind the video.
The website for megawoosh.com now forwards to a German page (translated) for what appears to promote the "planning" aspects of Microsoft Office Project 2007.
Regardless of what significance this really plays in Microsoft's latest marketing tactics, it's still a pretty entertaining video.www.tomshardware.com/news/microsoft-office-project-waterslide-video,8410.html should be able to see it at the above link.

Most famous last words in the South: "Hey! Watch this!"
Most famous last words in Alaska: "That ain't nothin'! Watch this! (Hold my beer.)"
I'm game.

Hold my beer, I'll try it! After all, I have a personal policy against "knowing better".
