School started today. Hip, Hip, Hurray! Hip, Hip, Hurray!! Hip, Hip, Hurray!!!
4 girls out the door already. They look as happy as I feel. First day of middle school for shorty. Definitely worth getting up at 4:30 am every weekday. Going... Going... Gone! One more at home. The youngest girl still gets to sleep in for a while. Is Kindergarten Phase-In for the kids adjustment or the parents?

Cute family. I always cried the first day of school and the last. I missed her, and then I was glad she was going.

Enjoying a quiet morning Ponder? I was, little bit is just finishing breakfast and she is so looking forward to some quality "Mommy and Me" time! Me, too! I love my little girl cuddles! Gotta grab 'em while I can. Thanks so much, oh well and Yoda. I agree, Of Course!

Hurray!
My first day of school when I didn't have to drag my son out of bed.
(College starts later.)

Let's just say; She is the first to help out in anything that is needed by anyone. She has done the dinner dishes every night that she has been home since she was about 5 or 6, without ever being asked! She is the most dependable, responsible babysitter you could ever ask for (always leaves it cleaner than when she came) and her employers rave about her, straight A's all through school, even in her honors classes, amazing sense of humor, blah, blah, blah, however.... The apple didn't fall far from the apple tree. Lord help us all!

<SIGH> this is the one day of the year I always consider giving up homeschooling and shoving them all onto the big yellow bus!

I homeschooled for 1 semester 6 years ago. After our spring vacation in Cocoa Beach we just couldn't get back in the routine. My kids missed their friends too much, and I missed mine!

Yep, she's a troublemaker alright. Makes it hard for her siblings to live up to her example.

Oh, they are trying hard! They worship the ground she walks all over!

It's good for them. It builds character. It is "green"! Why do you think they are all so slim? Walking there wouldn't be quite as difficult as walking home. I think it is a 3 mile 6% grade.
