Ah, yes. "The Joys of Small Business Ownership" never change.
I, too, had friends that felt I opened my joint up in order to give them product or services I paid for out of my own pocket...literally. I would then give them directions to my house where they could drink my beer and bang my ol'lady. (It was a carefully selected house off Campbell St and the ol'lady's were biker chick property, and I never got any feed back.)
I did trade services though, and did stay afloat with discounts...not freebies.
Hang in there, man. You put on a GOOD show. I'd be glad to donate to your Cause again, and I've never even attended.
(I just want the T-shirts if I do, heh.)
