The Greater Chattanooga Area American Red Cross announced today that they will honor military family members with an afternoon of family fun. 300 movie gift cards will be given out on a first come, first serve basis to Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve families at the Rave East Ridge 18 Theatres from 12:30 to 2 PM on Saturday, August 22.
"Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) is an integral part of our mission," said Barbara Alexander, executive director of the Greater Chattanooga Area American Red Cross. "In addition to the services we provide to military families in crisis, we also have an opportunity to host some special events through a SAF grant from the Department of Defense. We are honored to offer an afternoon of fun for the families of those who do so much for our country."
Rave Theatre gift cards are good for admission to a movie of choice with the balance used at the theatre's concession stand. Red Cross Youth Corps volunteers will be distributing the cards to families presenting a valid military ID card. There is a limit of 6 cards per family.
