The real KFC Famous Bowl looks recycled - ewww
This is "model food". <fill in the name of your preferred celebrity of hotness> is a real person too, and makes the rest of us look like a real Big Mac...
And some of it is probably made of silicone too...

Oh, not all of the "model food" turns out like that. Many years ago when I was working as the biscuit maker as the Hardee's on 25th St. in Cleveland I made a biscuit for one of the commercials. It was just one out of the batch of biscuits that I had made. The owner's daughter came in, picked out the "best looking" one and they made a sandwich (can't remember which one now) and brought it here to Chattanooga for the commercial. But nothing special was done to make it look "better".

And everyone got to see Thorne's biscuits on TV... And don't forget those japanese sculpted wax dishes they use in asian restaurants to show what they serve.

The subway one looks pretty good IMO.

I actually took a burger back to Hardee's the other day and asked them what relation this pathetic sandwich had to the nice photo on the menu board - flat, stale buns, overcooked meat patty, skimpy "fixings", the whole lazy-ass work of minimun-wage employees with no pride in their performance.
I got my money back, but no apology - just excuses. And that was my last trip to Hardee's.
(23rd St location, if anyone from Hardee's is reading)

Oh did you not see the part in the ad where some guy smashes the buger flat when he drops it on the floor before putting it in the bag and handing it out the window to you?
;-)

Sonic on Hixson pike near the YMCA -
May I take your order?
Yes, I'd like the five burgers for five dollars special, please.
Mustard or mayo?
No thank you. Just meat, bread, and vegetables.
---
What I got was meat and bread; no veggies. Naturally, I didn't discover that until I got home.
