This makes me happy. Not just because it's the library, but because it will benefit the city. More library patrons on the weekend means more people out exploring the city, visiting nearby stores and restaurants. chattanoogan.com/articles/article_157673.asp

I applaud this!!
I would much rather have our downtown bums having a place to go than harassing people on the streets. Can we get the library to be open 24/7 so they stay off the streets?
You think I am kidding but the library WANTS the 'homeless' because for each one that walks in to brush their teeth, the library counts as a 'visitor'.

It is coincidence that the Public Library, Community Kitchen, and City Hall are all on the same street? Somehow I doubt it.

At least there are two useful organizations on your list, Grid.
Food, shelter and books beat political barnyard effluent.

Barnyard effluent? Are you suggesting that little field smells of fertilizer?

We go to Club Lib every fall. it's a fund raiser for the library. Each floor has a different theme...casino, disco, etc. It's really fun, and not too expensive

Good. I spent over 100 bucks at the library book sale at Northgate. The library is a great resource. RIF not RIP.

It would not hurt for them to get a new logo. Look at it sometime, especially the two color version. It does not look like a book as much as it looks like a book burning.
