Annexation clears second hurdle The city's annexation plans were given the go-ahead Monday by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission, even as residents and some commissioners voiced displeasure in the move. "We asked the city to come back with a better plan," said planning Commissioner Bobby Scott. "They have shown us the dignity to come back with the same piece of (expletive) they did before." The commission voted 7-5 Monday to approve the second phase of the city's annexation plan. The commission voted 9-5 last month to approve the city's first phase of annexation plans. The Chattanooga City Council will take up annexation for the first time tonight during a public hearing. The hearing will be the first of 10 over the next two months, with each looking at areas within the first and second phases of annexation. I am not sure who this Commissioner Bobby Scott is, but he is the very first City official who has spoken the truth about this annexation debacle.

It sounds to me like the planning commissioners who voted to approve the plan need to be impeached. They are approving plans that do not meet the legal requirements for being approved.
