Assuming I heard things right tonight, the Red Bank beer board approved Mr. Espinoza's request to open a restaurant named Pollo Santo at 3009 Dayton Boulevard. That name translates to Holy Chicken.
The rest of the Red Bank city commission meeting had no unfinished business or new business but had some minor paperwork to deal with.
The city manager is still looking for a finance director, preferably a CPA but with the possibility of someone with accounting experience.
Commissioner Ruth Jeno reported on activities for seniors at the civic center where the commission meetings are being held while the "normal place" is undergoing renovation. Free "bone density screenings" will be on Monday, October 12th from 10 a.m. to noon. Erlanger North appears to be the primary power behind many of the activities at the center. There is quite a variety of activities planned for October.
Tonight was rather boring with only one citizen comment from a guy whom I can never hear.

Every time I've said something you couldn't hear you told me to speak up. Is this guy so "special" you can't ask him to FREAKING TALK LOUDER??? [grin]
"Holy chicken" reminds me of a tattoo artist that explained that the difference between DOG and POWER in the Chinese symbols is a small line (It might be strength, I don't remember) and so a lot of people that think they have the symbol for "Power" (or strength) tattoo actually have "DOG" [grin]
