Hey guys. I decided to post here because I couldn't get the answer anywhere else. I remember about 16 years ago there was a house in the Hixson area that had around 500,000 Christmas lights. I can still picture it in my mind and boy, was it a sight to see. Rumor has it that the woman who owned the house owned a strip club in the Atlanta area . I heard the neighbors made them take the lights down because of the traffic. I've heard this house was up around Gann road but still haven't been able to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was near the intersection of Gann Road and Bowman Road. I used to live in that area and took my sons to it a couple of years. It did create quite a traffic nightmare.

In a related story. The Memphis Dr home that is used by the space station as a landmark will NOT be lit this year.

If I remember correctly, it cost a fortune to pay the power bill for all of that.

If I remember correctly, it cost a fortune to pay the power bill for all of that. Not if you plug into your neighbors box

Ann Martin owned the house and she also is the owner of Diamonds and Lace Showbar on Lee Highway, The Classic Cat in Nashville and many others.
She stored all those XMAS decorations in several tractor trailers in the back of her property.
Worked for her and her no-good son, Wayne, briefly. Bad, Bad mistake!

I knew Ann "back in the day". (early 80s) She was always sweet to me, but I was her bartender, not her employee. [grin]

Ann was sweet and would do anything to help anyone! It was that no good Wayne that always tried to bite off more than he could chew.
