it's not the food, it's the service that makes a place the best! make me feel like I own stock in your business and I'll keep coming back! Treat me like crap, and you'll never see me again. Theres 4-6 restaurants on every corner!

We rarely eat out, but 212 is good. Hunter museum is good with a great ambiance. Tony's Pasta is good, as well. Longhorn on N. Market has a great breakfast. I get my lunch to go from Greenlife almost every single day. Great soups and great hot bar and salad bar. Good cinnamon bread by the loaf.

I don't recommend the East Ridge store. I took a contingent from the NCAA championship game there last year, and the douchebag manager closed part of the house and refused to seat people.

bhmc449: The question was best in town... not cheap eats.... you're right, you will spend more money at Alleia than you would at Red Lobster.
I guess spending $50-$75 at Nabe for lunch might be a shocker to you.
Honestly, best in town for food is St. John's followed by Canyon Grill, Porters, Meeting Place, Hennons and 212.. Best in town for service are the same but re-arranged.
Yeah, be ready to pay for a good meal and what you get here is half of what you would pay in Atlanta.

Don't St. John's and the Meeting Place share a kitchen?

Yep, still open. But, in true "soul food" fashion, not a place to eat regularly for those of us in the age bracket where we need to watch our fat/cholesterol/salt numbers.
A few months ago I had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, which was two large pieces of bread with what seemed like half a chicken smothered in a red hot red sauce. By the time I finished I had it ear to ear and halfway down my back. Not for the faint of heart watching their sodium intake, but dam good.

I have always like Hermans, the last couple times I was there the food was just SO-SO. It seemed to me that they had substituted fresh dishes for canned, which would be a shame. If people want to eat canned vegetables they can stay at home. Hermans has the potential to be an amazing restaurant. Dont get me wrong, I will be going back

For an "all around restaurant" I will nominate The Terminal Brewhouse. They have burgers (beef and bison), pizza (very good IMHO), salads, sandwiches, sweet potato fries (don't bother with the regular fries), as well as beer (brewed in house) and a nice selection of hard liquor. What more could you ask for?

I'm pleased to announce the departure of the offending SOB and the return to Grace of this venerable location. Thank You.
