ASSOCIATED PRESS, WASHINGTON D.C.
It's a scary Halloween thought; trick or treating canceled.
With more H1N1 cases popping up many parents are thinking twice before sending their goblins and witches out for candy.
"There is some worry especially because we are hearing so much about this virus," said Stacey Rhect.
And it's not just the kids that may be saying in.
After visiting his doctor Craven Moorehead says he's skipping Halloween.
"I probably won't answer the door this year," Titus Balsac said. "I am a little afraid of it."
National Center for Disease Control says there's nothing to be scared of.
Other than eating too much candy, trick-or-treating is not a threat to your health.
"Anytime you are dealing with a large group of people there is always that concern," said Stu Padasso. "But as far as Halloween goes it's outside so I don't think it is going to be that big of an issue."
Despite what the health department says people like Faye Kinnitt aren't taking any chances.
Faye Kinnitt is six months pregnant. She says staying healthy is her top priority.
"We will probably go to a church function," Michael Toris said. "We'll probably stay in the country where we are all the time."
But that doesn't mean she's skipping Halloween altogether.
"We'll probably just hang in and I'll buy my kids their candy (laughs)."
That's a good way to avoid the flu and Halloween tricks.
There have been no changes to the scheduled trick or treat dates or times.

Maybe one of the greatest names ever... or, maybe I just need to get out more often.
