I think Ichiban is by far the best (I am referring to the one on Brainerd Rd)
The cooks always seem to get the filet cooked better than other places. I like their sauces better and the staff always goes above and beyond.....

I like the Ichiban on Hixson Pike. There are a few on the list I haven't tried though, like Fuji, so maybe I'm missing out.

What a bunch of fking dumbasses. I do not understand why you are calling names. I have not experienced authentic Japanese food, as most of us probally have not. We in America eat American-Japanese food. I like Ichiban the best.

Pay for my ticket and time off and I'll fly to whatever restaurant you consider "proper" Japanese. Until then, what we have here is pretty much what is listed. If you like one better than another, click the poll and post why you like that particular place. If you don't like them, try saying why politely instead of calling people a bunch of dumb fucks, because really, if you think about it, other readers will read these posts and come to a rather unflattering opinion as to just who is and who isn't a dumb fuck.

I'm nt a big fan of Japanese food...Ichiban on Brainerd Road was entertaining, though and the food was pretty good.

What a bunch of fking dumbasses. ummm pretty sure I dont like being called any of this shit, but whatever. No, I don't think that what I have been eating most of my life as to be "authentic" Japanese, but then again most places aren't authentic so I guess If I liked Gondalier Italian Pizza the best I'm a just as much an idiot because I have yet to see one Italian person working or eating there, but they have damn good pizza and other Italian delights (non authentic, but Italian non the less) I have never been to an authentic Japanese restaurant in the US, nor would I know where to find one. I guess that so called chopped filet and scallops over a bed of rice and mystery white/shrimp sauce will have to suffice

fftspam - educate those of us who have not had the experience of going to Japan - what is Japanese food? It sits in a basket suspended above you by a coiled rope; the basket is released and begins to spin as it descends...... ....er, uh, <flashback ends> yeah, I like Ichiban too.......
