The above three choices are the only ones that don't conflict with other parties or major holiday events (that I am aware of).
I need to get a consensus soon so I can find a place to handle our crowd before everything gets booked.
Suggestions on where to have our party would be welcome, too.

I always liked the party at the City Cafe Downtown in '07 but with the growth the Notta Parties are experiencing, that might be unrealistic this year.

starting now, I bet finding a place is going to be harder, especially later in the month.

I hear people saying that "oh, you're too late" but that's never been the case in the past ten years. I've always booked around this time of year and never had a problem.

I've already got plans for all 3 days, but have the best possibility for an appearance on the 11th.

As for a suggestion, didn't CBC Downtown just renovate/add a party room upstairs?

I'd rather go to someplace smoke free. There's that nice big banquet room at the City Cafe.

I'm becoming addicted to the City Cafe.
And I'm already picking out my outfit. Unpacked Christmas costumes yesterday. I have so many cute choices!

I would prefer somewhere non-smoking as well; however, the back room at City Cafe is not very big, nor is it wheel chair friendly due to lack of space. How about T-Bones, no it's not smoke free, but if we asked for the back room, there is a covered patio for the smokers...

I can do without cig smoke but I can deal with it if that's what it ends up being.
As long as there's alcohol and women with loose morals...

Yeah,I would need accessible access too. IIRC,CBC has a smoke free side during the day I can do without cig smoke but I can deal with it if that's what it ends up being. As long as there's alcohol and women with loose morals... That's what the booze if for

It should be held at the Mayor's fabulous new homeless facility on 11th Street.

Gary - I still have a handful of barter scrip for The Loft.
If it's convenient, the large VFW hall on Riverside Drive can be "rented" for nothing. Only concern is food, which would have to be shipped in.

Exactly what I was thinking. All we need is a big room with tables and chairs and we can bring the party. We've done it many times in the past and it always worked great. So, who has connections with the VFW or some other place that has a nice sized room we can use?

The Pot Luck at the former Police Moderator's house went pretty well, I heard.
I may go to this one.

I vote for the pot luck..if someone can't bring anything, that's ok, there's plenty of food.

Yes. I greatly enjoyed the two that we did at Caterer's place years ago. Even the Sushi one, since Dave & Thorn brought the sausage, beans and rice mix, I actually had something to eat.

We could even do the Dirty Santa game, limit $5 to $10 on item cost. Or something gently used from around the house.

Decide on the date toot sweet and I'll reserve VFW Post 4848 on Riverside Drive. Has a boat dock, if that's of interest. Great place for some mid-December skinny dipping.

I'd like to shoot for the 11th, but I'll take the Friday before or after if the VFW isn't available on the 11th.
