Chattanooga Online has frazzled my last tolerant nerve when it comes to core level customer service. Can anyone recommend a quality internet provider with reliable email service & quality technical support personnel for business volume purposes?

Holy CRAP, they are still in operation? Based on those same statements from 11 years ago I left them for dead late in the Clinton era (may it RIP).
I'm apparently the only satisfied Comcast Customer alive so I have no constructive offers for you, but I appreciate the freakish update on Chattanooga Online.

It might be good to move to a separate service then get comcast/epb/etc and when they make you mad switch, nobody will notice as your email (on a separate service) won't be affected.

Hehe, CDC finally cut off my email address there a few weeks ago. They quit billing me the $9 a month to maintain it years ago.

Everyone I had any relationship with at COL left a few years ago. Mike sold out his interest to Debbie and she sold out a while back. The same with CDC. American Internet and Communications might be a good place to look.

Going from COL to EPB, which I praise to the highest heights, will be like trading in your old Chevy Vega for a new 2010 Camaro

I had a Vega. People used to laugh at me at traffic lights.
Thanks for bringing up that trauma.

I don't know why I should feel guilty about admitting this, but I'm OK with Comcast. True, when it rains it gets a little fuzzy, but that may be due to my collie chewing on the outside cable. And, the service has...uh...gone out a time or two, but these occasions, too, have been self-inflicted based primarily upon my not paying the bill on time. Otherwise, not a lot of problems. My biggest gripe is calling them just before a scheduled disconnect, and have them agree that paying the bill a couple of days later is OK, only to have them cut the service anyway. Customer service is among the worst of any utility I've ever dealt with. I have a few channels of television and high-speed Internet, both for about $70 a month. EPB rates appear to be about the same.
Never had a Vega, but I owned a new 1977 Pinto station wagon.

I use comcast for my tv and internet and I'm happy w/ 'em. I can only think of maybe two or three times in the last five years that they've been down.. I'm not sure how their business service is though.. I don't ever use my ISP's email service. I don't want to be tied to an ISP just to keep my email.. I have yahoo and gmail email accounts.

I'm waiting semi-patiently for EPB to find its way to our neighborhood. Currently using AT&T DSL, but do not recommend it. When it was BellSouth they offered me a terrific deal, complete with real cash back, a HUGE gift card to Dell, and reasonable rates. I guess the rates are still OK, but DSL really is slower than cable, it quits ah lot, and their e-mail has migrated over to Yahoo, so while most of my mail is already on Yahoo, when I want to login to AT&T I have to type the entire address with the @ and everything else. Whatta pain.

So why "login to AT&T" if it's such a pain?
I use Outlook 2003 for e-mail and don't have to use AT&T's webmail at all.

I, too, am a Comcast user and happy with the service. Knock wood, I haven't lost service once since I've had it. The only interruption I've had is my POS wireless router.

So why "login to AT&T" if it's such a pain? Excellent question. I've been trying for months to wean certain relatives off that e-mail address. But as long as I have AT&T as an ISP, the e-mail address will remain available. So I have to check it every now & then, and each time, get a reminder of why EPB can't get to my block too soon.

Runedeer can you not set the address up to auto-forward to another address?

EPB is now in my area!
I'm looking into doing the package deal. The only thing I will miss is the service I got from Americainter.net. Great bunch of folks.
