Watch out for WarKitty! That woman is larger than she appears in the rear view mirror and she carries a purse big enough to put a dog in!!

Only YOUR dog is small enough to fit in a purse....
(and I figured my dog might be hungry)

It would carry my dog, Sissy. She is only 3.2 pounds. Just a little thing. A little, adorable, sweet, loveable thing. Hell, she's not a thing. She is my baby, my loved one. What's wrong with carrying a dog in a purse. OK, its a German Shepard and you need a really big purse.

Oh my goodness, 3.2lbs??? That would fit in a well-endowed woman's cleavage!

That's the cutest little darling I've seen. I know it is not a long haired Chichuahua. Please give details. I would let it lick my face any time of the day.

A five month and a half old papillon He still has a lot of fur to grow. At his age he does look a lot like a long haired chi though, and that is what most people guess.

I went to the pound a year or so to get a little dog I saw advertised on the website. Her name was Lucy. She wasn't there. I didn't ask questions. The person working showed me another dog who had been there something like 6 months. Apparently it was really time to find her a place or.... She said that she was a good dog and wouldn't "pull me down or nuffin". The dog weights 60+ lbs now and pulls me down everytime I used to try to walk her. Felix walks her on the Gentle Lead or whatever it's called harness. Works well. She can reach everything on the kitchen counters and back of stove. She's too big for me, but we wouldn't trade her for anything. I swear that if we ever get another dog, it will be a little one. However, at our ages, when this one goes, we may be too old to have another one...Well, maybe a really little one. t

I've noticed that you hardly ever see small dogs at the pound.

Scarlett, did you try the bungee cord trick yet?
BTW, we've been test driving the daughter's little Miniature Schnauzer as she needs to scale back on her animal farm in order to sell her house. I really want a tiny dog now that we are living in such close quarters and the two I have left are 10+ years old.
Such a sweet little thing but my goofy old dogs are not very accepting of her. She is high energy and very playful so I think they are afraid of her. No growls or mean attitude but they avoided her like the plaque.
I really hope when she comes back next week that they will at least acknowledge her presence.

A friend's mother got a little long haired chihuahua type dog at the pound. Great little companion. Another friend got a little long haired terrier type dog. It was with a full litter and he picked it because it was the quietest one. Once he took it home, it turned into a little hellion and runs the house. Let them know you're interested in a small dog and they'll keep an eye out for you and let you know when they get one.
