Drove by the old Wendy's earlier tonight and was quite surprised to see it closed and a new Thai restaurant had moved in.
Was even more surprised to see the place packed!
Not sure if this place is just really, really good eatin',or if it's just the 'new' that had all the seats full.
Anybody tried it yet? I would but I'm always very leery of new restaurants of this nature until I know for sure their food wont cause repeated trips to the John.

The old Wendy's has a restaurant called Teriyaki of Japan in it now.
There is another new restaurant call Mama's Thai Restaurant in the Town Square shopping center next to the Regions bank.
Haven't tried either one.

I just don't get the Thai thing. I've tried it and it really didn't do much for me. I kept hearing folks rave about Pat Thai noodles and when I tried them they SUCKED!

They are noodles. How else would you eat them?

Teriyaki of Japan is not bad. They charge you 25 cents extra for yellow sauce which I think is kind of silly.

I love pad thai. Mmmm pad thai! I like pad see eew better though. Similar, but add more veggies to the mix. I also am a big fan of curries. Pretty much anything curry and I'm a happy camper.
Best thing about it though is those noodles are rice noodles.

Go to the Seoul Restaurant and order Yu kay jang (spicy beef soup). Will clear your sinuses for a week.

Thai restaurant in the old Wendy's. It just doesnt seem right for me. I remember as a kid going to the East Ridge Pool in the summer and after we would always go to Wendy's and eat lunch. Something about that place and time that you can never get back. I will never step foot in the place just to preserve memories
