Yeah, I live way out in the county, or country. I know I pay dearly for service. Oh wait, what service? Every single day our lights flicker. Maybe I should say, turn off and back on. Every single time that happens, I have to change all of the clocks. Now, please think about that. The micro way, the oven, the three alarm clocks, the two DVD recorders, and of course the clock in the living room. I am tired of paying for service that isn't there. I tired to call, I was told, "Sorry". There is no other service. Why is it that the Hamilton County Commissioner choses my cable and Internet service? He doesn't live in the county. I would like to invite him to my house. Let him readjust everything in my house. But leave the damn beer alone.

What does Charter have to do with your power going out?

My older son lives in Harrison. When the wind blows, his internet goes out. I wonder if it's a problem with the wiring. I'm out here as well, and Comcast is up 99% of the time.

Charter has nothing whatsoever to do with the power flickering off and on. They are a cable company, not the power company. I'd advise some good quality power strips and a UPS for the puter(s) and equipment.

I dislike Charter immensely too. They don't mess with my power like they do Ohwell's but their service is terrible. No NFL network, and they have some sort of deal with Comcast (not that they're any better) where only one can offer service in my neighborhood. So there's no competition and no reason to offer lower prices. If it weren't for satellite services like Direct & DishNetwork we'd all be paying $200+ a month. What happened to no monopolies? The prices are way too high for what we get.

I just got EBP and it's awesome. The best thing is the Karoake feature on Video on Demand. Too much fun...

Conservator: They don't have a "deal" with Comcast. It's just that only one has a franchise agreement where Ohwell lives, that's all. They do have one "deal" in the CSS Channel. It's jointly owned by both companies.
Scarlett: I'm not aware of any location in which Charter provides electrical service.
JuicyJewel: Comcast has Karaoke On Demand as well. Just ask my poor neighbor!

I'm not sure what the deal is... but since Charter is in my neighborhood (Ringgold), I was told Comcast will not move in. Call it what you will. Also, my neighbor works for Comcast, but since he can't get Comcast in our neighborhood, Charter gives him a discount. It may be some inside connection, but it sounds like them working together in a way. AKA "a deal".

Depending on how far North Ohwell lives, her power may be provided by Volunteer Electric Cooperative, not EPB. That could speak volumes.
