Joni and I went through a cancer scare the first week of December. Dr Galen informed me she had a mass growing which had doubled in size in three weeks. Dr DePasquale identified the type of mass for us. Apparently it is the type of mass which gestates for nine months, then wants to get OUT!!! Homage to my virility below.

Congratulations, #5. I'm not sure I have the energy left to do something like that again. You have my respect.

That Ringling Man is a mighty sire. Shortly you will need all your stamina and then some. As a grandfather, I now appreciate the drain on energy young children can be. Not to mention when they become....TEENAGERS!
Congratulations to both parents, you will now be partners in life's greatest and most rewarding adventure.

Thanks to all, and special thanks to the 3 or 4 of you who knew and kept the secret until we could let the family know in person. The implications of fatherhood at my age can't help but give me pause. I am however, happier than I thought I could be. New life, and the prospect of shaping that new life have breathed new energy into me. I hope it continues to breathe so deeply. Joni met with her ob/gyn today, and received photos of the baby. And it's a BOY!!!
